Presenting Summer Math Workshops

 

Folsom Math and Science Academy is happy to announce its offerings of "2015 Summer Math Workshops" for grades 5,6,7,8, Algebra-1 and Geometry. These workshops are ideal for those students who wish to get an early introduction into the topics taught in their upcoming year. The workshops are also an invaluable source for students to revise what they have studied in the previous year so that they can perform better in the next part of Math that builds on what they have learnt last year.

 

Curriculum

We will follow the California State Common Core Standards for Math (Also known as "core curriculum"). Parents will be given a copy of the common core standards, the California state department's website for more information and a listing of the topics covered in the workshops along with the dates. Buying a textbook is optional but not required, practice worksheets shall be provided.

 

Logistics

• Minimum class size is 6,

• First day of class will be in July and classes will be scheduled as soon as minimum class size is reached.

• The workshop consists of 10 one-hour sessions -

• Our regular fee is $200 - payable in 2 installments, 1st installment due upon registration)

Please let us know if you would like to see more offerings for grades other than those listed. If there is sufficient interest, we'll be happy to offer them as well.

It is summer time and from what we heard from most parents in the Sacramento valley, they would like to see their kids participate in some Math-related activities that would help them in their next academic school year.
